Hemorrhoids

BCM has specialized in the study and treatment of this pathology unit.

Sometimes the use of anti-hemorrhoid ointments containing topical corticosteroids, anesthetics and antiseptic in different proportions may be necessary.

In case of failure of the previously mentioned measures and in case of patients with grade II-III hemorrhoids,  some  minimally invasive treatments such as rubber band ligation, sclerotherapy, laser, infrared, or bipolar coagulation can be applied.

In refractory patients with grades III-IV, the standard surgery treatment is often recommended. It is important to note that in case of a severe or acute pain, the presence of a hemorrhoid thrombosis, which requires a specific surgical treatment (thrombectomy), should be ruled out.
